We know sometimes things can get a little confusing when looking at new technology when it comes to cars. Hybrids are becoming more popular due to their environmental and economy benefits, but is a hybrid right for you?
We break down the 3 most common types of hybrids:
Hybrid - No plug in option, the engine works alongside the batteries/electric motor to offer the best economy and seamless operation.
Plug-in Hybrid - You can plug it in and charge the battery at a charge point. These can usually be switched from hybrid mode to full electric for a limited range. Offer zero emissions when in electric mode.
All-Electric - No engine, just an electric motor and batteries. These rely fully on being charged and are emission free and 100% environmentally friendly.
